IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Drosoula
Psychos
March 5, 1935 – August 7, 2025
Drosoula (Soula) Psychos of Hanover, MA, formerly of Brockton for 42 years, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was the wife of Sam Psychos, who passed last year at the age of 94.
Soula was born in Greece and, at age 26, moved to this country with her husband, Sam. They started in North Carolina, and eventually settled in Brockton, MA where they spend most of their lives raising their family. She worked hard as a seamstress to build a better life for her children.
Soula was a special person loved by everyone who new her. She was a woman of warmth, wisdom and unwavering kindness. She dedicated her life to her family, her faith and the church. She volunteered endlessly at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society, whose mission is to help those in need. She spent countless hours preparing for the church's food festivals, and, together with her husband Sam, worked tirelessly at those festivals to support their church. She did whatever she could to support the church.
She raised three wonderful children and was so very proud of each of them. She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Ann DiGiorgio, her children Stephen and Mark, Maria Psychos and Paul Smith, and Chris Psychos, his wife Julie and their children Zachary, Tyler and Alexa.
Soula was a living example of love in action. She never hesitated to lend a hand or offer a kind word. Her legacy is one of strength, faith and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton.
Calling hours in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Thursday, August 14th from 9:30AM-10:30AM followed by a funeral service in the church at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
