Obituary

Dukens Venord, nickname (TI Papoute), was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on May 8, 1966 son of the late Marie T. Etiene-Venord and Minodin Venord. Duke was eleven out of twelve children. Duke grew up around his eight brothers and four sisters, Myrielle, Fritz, Jean Leon, Marie Jose, Pierre, Pierre Andre and Jean Fred. Also deceased brother and sister (Ronald Claude and Carmel) Duke is survived by his (10) nieces and (15) nephews, and (20) cousins. Duke came from Haiti on August 10, 1976 with his mom, sisters and brothers. He went to school in Medford, from elementary to High School. Duke graduated from Medford High and went to Burdett School Academy and studied medical coding. Duke worked for the Mello Electric Company in Everett, MA for over 15 years. Duke was a very friendly and sociable person with a warm smile. He had a sense of humor, and liked joking with people. Whenever possible he helped others even when he did not have much. He was not married or had any children but enjoyed playing with his nephews and nieces. He also loved spending time with his family and friends at cookouts and parties. Duke took pleasure in cooking all types of dishes. Duke often helped others even though many times he didn't have much for himself. One of Duke's favorite hobbies was playing music, which he loved and was very passionate about. He played the bass, guitar and keyboard. Duke took pleasure in playing music for the church during services. He also played in a band on Saturday nights at different venues. Dukens will be missed very much by his family and friends, rest in peace. Family and friends are invited to join for a repass gathering after the funeral service at Duken's sisters residence, located at 76 Duggan St., Stoughton, MA 02072. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, July 20th from 3:00PM to 5:30PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street(Rt.123) Brockton followed by a funeral service at 5:30PM. Interment will be private.
