Obituary

E. Patrice “Pat” (Phillips) Berglund, age 85, life long resident of Brockton, died August 16, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife for 64 years of Chester L. Berglund. Pat was the daughter of the late A. Sidney and Evelyn G. (Donaghue) Phillips. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1948 and retired from Faytex Corp. in Weymouth in 1993. Previously she had been employed by Jones and Vining of Brockton. Pat was a kind, loving woman with a witty sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling, bingo and Facebooking, but most of all enjoyed holidays and gatherings with her family.

Pat is also survived by a daughter, Jane Sylvia and her husband Wayne of Hanson; four grandchildren John Roppolo and his wife Kerry, Bridget Doyle and her husband Joseph, Sydnie DiBona and her husband Richard and Torrey Healey and her husband Paul; eight great grandchildren Tyler, Gabrielle, Justine, Francesca, Devyn, Lukas, Sadie and Evan; she also leaves a sister Claire Verran and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ruth Fortin, Helene Patricelli and Carol Hill.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9am for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
