Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8pm.
Obituary
Earl H. Terry, 69, of Brockton, died after a lengthy illness on Tuesday evening at the Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Rose E. (Bennard) Terry. He was born in Brockton, on February 7, 1933, a son of the late Harold and Helen (Taylor) Terry, Sr. Mr. Terry served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. His hobby was clock repair. He was an automotive mechanic at George’s Garage in Avon, MA for 14 years, moving to California for 10 years, and returned to Brockton in 1982, to retire. Mr. Terry was a member of the Caffrey Towers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Rose E. (Bennard) Terry, his sons, David Terry of Texas, and William Terry of Brockton, his daughters, Joanne Terry of Brockton, Diane Wilson and Brenda Morales of Tucson, AZ, Donna Lackey of Modoc, SC, Susan Lander of Lexington, SC and Gale Schmidt of Redding, CA. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, two sisters Hazel Anderson and Marjorie Diamond both of CA and Doris McGee of Virginia. He was the father of the late Steven Terry, and brother of the late Harold Terry, Jr. and Oscar Terry.
