Obituary

Edelmira Rivera, 91 years, of Brockton, died October 20, 2009 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Juan Alicea. Born and raised in Manati, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Vicente Ortiz and Aurelia Rivera and had been a resident of Brockton for the past 20 years. Edelmira was a longtime member of the El Buen Samaritano Church, enjoyed reading, sewing and arts and crafts.

She was the mother of Rosa Adorno, Doris Alicea, Ana Alicea, Carmen Heredia, William Alicea and the late Luis, Jose, Olga and Carmen Alicea. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-8pm with a Prayer Service starting at 7pm. Burial will follow in Manati, Puerto Rico.
