Edgar Correia Edgar Correia , 72, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Maria Paula Lopes. Born May 7, 1938 in Brava, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Julio Correia and Ana Lopes. Mr. Correia owned and operated Correia Barber Shop in Brockton for over 40 years. He loved music and played guitar with many local groups. He also loved to fish and play cards. He was a Brockton resident for over 45 years. He is survived by his wife Maria Paula Lopes; his son, Anthony Lopes and his wife Maria of Florida; his grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Lopes of Florida; his sister, Emilia Ramos of Boston; his aunt, Ecilda Soares of RI; he is also survived by one nephew and many cousins. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) on Wednesday, February 16th at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
