Edite M. Andrade, 81, of Brockton, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 4, 1937 in Cova Figueira, Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late felismina fontes monteiro and raul andrade. A beloved figure in her native town, where she is fondly remembered, Edite immigrated to the United States nearly 20 years ago to be closer to her family. She is survived by her children, Maria (Fatima) Beal and her husband Bruce, Manuel (Nelson) Andrade, Hipolito (Ito) Andrade and Idil (Canfrina) Andrade, all of Brockton. Loving grandmother of Nixon Andrade, Luis Fontes, Guilhermina Fernandes, Ariana Andrade, Alijah Andrade, Yara Andrade Amani Andrade, Isaiah Andrade, Adreanna Andrade, Nathan Andrade, Jayla Beal, Luna Andrade, Nayaraa Barbosa and great- grandmother of Jalani DeBurgo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton on Wednesday, August 8th at 9:30AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:30AM.
