Edith "Edie" M. (Roberts) Coakley, of Taunton, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Edie was born in Boston to Russell and Annie Roberts. She was a longtime resident of the Raynham / Taunton area and was in the foodservice industry as a waitress and bartender where she enjoyed serving her many customers and friends. Edie was very talented; in her free time, she enjoyed painting, needlepoint, sewing, knitting, and jigsaw puzzles, and traveling. Edie is survived by 2 sons, Richard and LuAnn, and Robert and Donna; 4 grandchildren, Bryan, Colleen, Crystal, and Robert; and 7 great grandchildren, Jacob, Cayson, Lillyana, Aubree, Jaxson, Colton, and Lincoln. She also enjoyed time spent with her nephew and nieces Todd, Linda, Wendy, Lori, and Beth. Edie is predeceased by her sister Ruth A. Perrin. A celebration of life will take place a later date.
