Edna "Alice" Gomes DePina, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. Alice was born in Fogo, Cape Verde on May 23, 1934 to Arnaldo Gomes DePina and Maria Livramento DePina. Alice loved to watch TV, listen to music, dance, go to church, go to her adult day health and spend time with family and friends. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Alice was preceded in death by her late Husband, Miguel Spinola. Alice leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children: Maria Antonia Mendes, Maria Anita DaRosa (Nita), Maria A. Spinola (Keia), Maria F. Spinola (Nununa), Leonilda Spinola-Castro (Nilde), Jose Miguel Spinola, Nelita Spinola- DaSilva, Maria Rosa Spinola (Gi), Jose Carlos Spinola (Toze) and 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two on the way. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral mass will be held in St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 E. Main St., Brockton on Saturday, August 20th at 10:00 AM followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
