Edna Helen (Smith) Sadoski, 93, went home to God peacefully at West Acres Nursing Center after a short period of failing health.
She was daughter of the late Michael and Stella (Butkewicz) Smith and wife of the late Raleigh M. Sadoski and loving mother of the late Robert Sadoski.
Born in Brockton, she attended Brockton schools and was a former resident of Hyde Park from 1947-1954. She proudly served as past president of the Whitman VFW Post 697 Ladies Auxiliary and was a life-long communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Brockton.
Mrs. Sadoski was employed by Kings Department store in Brockton for 22 years as well as other retail shops in the Brockton area.
She is survived by her sisters, Lorraine DAngelo of Easton and Helen DiMarzio of Brockton; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Lee Sadoski of Auburn, Georgia; she is survived by many nieces, nephews and her friends, Debbie and Carl Mayer of Brockton. Mrs. Sadoski was the sister of the late Arlene LaPrade, Alfreda Comlin, Wanda Mastropietro, Michael, Edward, Albert and Henry Smith. She was the friend and companion of the late Joseph Sergio.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13th at 6:00PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home. Private cremation will follow. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00PM.
