Obituary

Edward V. Brouillard, 62 of West Bridgewater died at his home on December 25, 2016. He was born in Brockton, son of the late Vincent and Frances (Granger) Brouillard. He served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer in the 9th Engineer Battalion, stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany. He also served in the Army Reserves and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for 20 years at Sovereign Bank (formerly Bank Boston Data Center) where he was responsible for operating and maintaining the mechanical and electric equipment. He subsequently worked for 10 years for the West Bridgewater Water Department until he retired in 2012. He attended Peterson’s School of Engineering and Wentworth Institute of Technology, and maintained multiple technical certifications and licenses.

Ed enjoyed building and rebuilding all kinds of machinery as well as creating projects from wood and steel. He loved the outdoors, target shooting, motorcycles and music. Ed will be remembered most for his ability to make people laugh and his own infectious laughter.

Ed is survived by his two sisters Irene Brouillard and Louise Hardiman, his half-brother Vincent Brouillard, and his longtime companion Lee Ann Sims. A gathering to remember Ed will take place in April.
