Edward (Ed/Eddie) P. Hunt Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12th at the age of 57.

Born October 1st, 1965 in Brookline, MA, Ed was the eldest son of the late Edward P. Hunt Sr. and the late Marilyn T. (McNulty) Hunt. Raised and educated in Brockton, Ed graduated from Brockton High School in 1983 and went on to work for Purity Supreme, Stop and Shop, and most recently PriceRite Supermarket.

Ed's warm, charismatic, and caring nature is the reason he could make friends anywhere he went and was highly respected by his coworkers during his 40-year career. He formed many lifelong friendships even after moving and settling in Taunton with his family. He was heavily involved in the Taunton Youth Sports Programs coaching boys' basketball and girls' soccer. He was the #1 fan of the Boston Bruins and NE Patriots. He enjoyed spending his free time going on scenic bike rides, working out, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was the proud father of his two children Brett Edward Hunt and Haleigh Ann Hunt of North Easton, MA. He is survived by the mother of his children Kristina, and his three brothers Joseph (Gabriela) Hunt of Brockton, MA, Paul Hunt of Washington State, and Donald (Genelyn) Hunt of Bermuda. He will be missed by countless cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 30th at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street Brockton, MA from 4-7 pm. The funeral mass will be held Monday, May 1st at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street Brockton, MA. Burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA.
