Edward "Kojak" Jaynes Edward "Kojak" Jaynes , 73, of Brockton, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in Savannah, Georgia after a timely illness, God sent for him. He was the husband of the late Virginia L. "Ginny" (Rapp) Jaynes. Born November 12, 1935 in Augusta, GA he was the son of the late Les and Mary Roberson. Edward served in the United States Army. He later moved to Brockton where he had lived for 40 years. Kojak enjoyed traveling and casinos. He is survived by his son Charles Jaynes of Brockton; his grandchildren, Karen, Helena, EJ, Lil Eddie and Daryl all of Brockton; his great grandchildren, Renia, Miracle, Kathrine and Issabella all of Brockton; his brother's, Lester Robinson and Eugene Wright both of Savannah Ga. He was the father of the late Sharon Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday at 12:00PM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
