Edward Michael Jones, 75, of Attleboro died Thursday, September 7,2023 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Donna Frances (Soule) Jones.

Born May 2, 1948, in Brockton, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose (Dandrata) Jones. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1966. He then served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Edward loved woodworking, carpentry, all types of music, and being with his family. He was one of the best and he wore many hats in his 75 years, both literally and figuratively. He was a proud Seabee, a master carpenter, a storyteller, a troublemaker, an artist, a business owner, a machinist, and a bartender. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, a deep-sea diver, a protector, a teacher, and a legend. He was way cooler than all of us.

He was a great man who lived a great life. He was a son, a brother, a friend, a husband, a father, and maybe his favorite…. He was "Grampy". He will be missed and remembered by everyone who knew him, but most of all by his loving wife of 47 years.

Edward is survived by his wife Donna; his children, Cheryl Hooley and her husband Paul, and Jennifer Danielson and her husband Kelson; his grandchildren, Seamus, Finnegan, Forrest, Mabel, and Ellie; his sister, Nancy Christie and her husband Howard; his nephew Scott Christie.

Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Cape Cod Cafe, 979 Main St., Brockton on Sunday, September 17th from 2:00PM-6:00PM.  There will be a Memorial Service starting at 3:00PM.
