Edward E. Lyons

Edward Ellis Lyons of Providence, RI passed away on October 29, 2026 at the age of 94 years. Edward was the son of the late Edward and Ruth Lyons. He is survived by his wife Caroleann (Bready) Lyons, his daughters Tracie Lee, Laura Hogan and her husband John, his sons Edward Charles Lyons, Patrick Lyons and his wife Cara. Beloved grandfather of Rebecca, Joyneyas (and her husband Adrian), Katelyn and Brittaney Hogan, and 5 great-grandchildren. His brother in law James Bready and his wife Sharon, Richard Bready, sister in law Kathleen Pellegrino and her husband Joseph. Edward was predeceased by his sister Priscilla Lyons Verdi.

Edward spent many years as a reporter for the Brockton Enterprise, and Massasoit Community College as a Public Relations Specialist. His passion was golf, having run numerous tournaments at the Thorney Lea Golf Club.

His funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Raymond Catholic Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence RI, on Friday, November 6th at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the Milton Cemetery, 211 Centre Street, Milton, MA.
