Obituary

Edward J. Thibeault, age 87, of Brockton, died February 11, 2021 at his home. Ed was the husband for 33 years of Anne E. (Keith) Paiva-Thibeault. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Adelard and Mary (Cormier) Thibeault. He graduated from Brockton High School and Brockton Business School and became an accountant.

Ed was a determined and motivated person who developed, owned and operated his accounting firm for over 50 years. He was still working with clients until his death. Ed was a Korean War Veteran. He loved his family and home and also enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife Anne, playing guitar, flea markets, old-style country music and dining out.

Ed was the father of Robert Thibeault, Debra Russell, Michelle Guild, Richard Paiva and the late Edward “Bucky” Thibeault, Jr.; grandfather of Eric Thibeault, Melanie Thibeault, Lexi Russell, Marcy Paiva, Katherine Paiva, Heather Guild, James Guild, and the late Richard W. Paiva; great grandfather of Isabella Johnson, Jack O’Shaunessy and Love Guild.

Private family services were held, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Ed’s name may be made to the Salvation Army, 216 Centre Street, Brockton, MA 02303.
