Eftichia "Effie" (Zahos) Kotopoulos Eftichia "Effie" (Zahos) Kotopoulos , 72, of Brockton, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 17, 2010 after a motor vehicle accident in Avon. She was the wife of Thomas Kotopoulos. Born October 6, 1938 in Kaloni, Grevena, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Fotios Zahos and Maria (Gouletsou) Zahos. Effie has been a Brockton resident since 1958 and was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. She was devoted to her home and family. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Kotopoulos of Brockton; her sons, William "Bill" Kotopoulos and his wife Denise of North Easton and Frank Kotopoulos of Boston; her grandchildren, Thomas and James Kotopoulos; her brother, Zaharia Zahos and his wife Despina; her sister, Ellenie Fillipou and her husband Gregoris; her brother-in-law, Chris Kotopoulos and his wife Janet; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Victoria Kosmotopoulos and Litsa Koutroukas. Funeral Information Funeral service will be held in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Saturday, October 23rd at 10:00AM.
