Obituary

Eileen M. Blunt, age 59, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, August 7, 2021 at her home. Eileen was the daughter of Cynthia R. (Bailey) Blunt of Brockton and the late John J. Blunt. Born and raised in Brockton, she attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Commercial Food Program. Eileen worked at Eldio’s Restaurant and retired in June 2021 from the Brockton school system after 25 years. Always smiling, she loved spending time with her family and dogs, cooking, baking cheesecakes, and working in the school department with the students.

Eileen was the sister of Rev. John Blunt of Sturbridge, Ellen Lynch, James Blunt and Joseph Blunt all of Brockton; aunt of Christen, Christopher and John Mark Blunt and John Lynch and sister in law of the late Jack Lynch.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday, August 13, from 4-6pm, followed by a funeral service at 6pm. Burial will be held at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery. Donations in Eileen’s name may be made to the Animal Protection Center of SE Mass, 1300 West Elm Street Ext., Brockton, MA 02301.
