Online Obituaries Eileen P. (Cruise)(Hogan) McVarish, 90, of Brockton, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Hogan and William F. McVarish. Born October 11, 1923 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Peter E. Cruise and Margaret (Hopkins) Cruise. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1941. She then graduated from Chandler Business College. Eileen worked for Grossman Lumber Company and also had worked as a Supervisor for New England Telephone Company for over 35 years. She was a communicant of St Margarets Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Brockton. She is survived by her son, William Hogan and his wife Patricia of Chatham; her grandchildren, Amy F. Burney and her husband Keith of Seattle, Elizabeth Hamacher and her husband Ryan of Plymouth and Erin Guinen and her husband Matthew of Norwood; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra R. Burney and Thomas A. Guinen; her brother, Brother Thomas J. Cruise, OMI of Lowell; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William, James, Peter, Joseph Cruise, Anna Connolly, Margaret McMenamy and Mary L. Kennedy. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, August 15th at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:30AM.
