Obituary

Elaine J. Farrell age 73 of Brockton died December 2, 2019 at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Elaine was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late John T. and Dorothy (Allen) Farrell and remained a lifelong resident of the city.

Elaine briefly attended Brockton schools and was currently attending GROW Association in Randolph. She was involved in Massachusetts politics as an advocate for disabled rights. She had been a volunteer for the Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul, and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed cooking, arts & crafts, music, dancing, bowling, and the color pink. She was a 10 year survivor of breast cancer. Elaine will be remembered as an outgoing and social lady who loved family gatherings and any kind of party.

Elaine was the sister of John E. Farrell and wife Alice of Pelham, NH; Joanne M. Bergeron and husband Raymond of Brockton; Paul D. Farrell and wife Nancy of Carver; Timothy M. Farrell and wife Jean of Wilmington, MA; Michael J. Farrell of Brockton and the late Robert A. Farrell. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who she adored.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St., (Rte. 123) Brockton on Monday December 9, 2019 from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm followed by a funeral service.
