Scherzer of N. Easton, March 14, 2005, Elaine C. (Belcher) Scherzer, 62 years. Wife of Peter W. Scherzer. Mother of Susan Rapoza, William Harris, Helga Van Wart, Vicki Cianfarani, Kerri Scherzer, Corinne Ford, and Heidi Nasuti and sister of Kenneth Belcher.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home,138 Belmont Street(Rte 123)Brockton Friday at 11 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 pm.

Obituary Information

Mrs. Scherzer died Monday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Brockton she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Valler) Belcher, and had attended Brockton schools. Mrs. Scherzer was a devoted homemaker who stayed home to raise her seven children. She loved to knit, read, cook and was an animal lover.

She is survived by her husband, of 34 years, Peter W. Scherzer, six daughters, Susan Rapoza of Brockton; Helga Van Wart of Boynton Beach, FL; Vicki Cianfarani of Hudson, FL; Kerri Scherzer of N. Easton; Corinne Ford of Taunton, Heidi Nasuti of Wareham and a son, William Harris of S. Easton, 14 grandchildren, a brother Kenneth Belcher of Brockton and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Donald, Harold and Edward Belcher
