Obituary

Eleanor M. (Stracuzzi) Bolger, age 94 of Dighton, formerly of West Bridgewater, died peacefully at her home October 1, 2016. Eleanor was the wife of the late Robert L. Bolger, Sr. Born, raised and educated in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta (Venenziano) Stracuzzi. Eleanor had been a longtime resident of Matfield Woods in West Bridgewater where she enjoyed playing Bocce Ball and was a member of the “Dollies”. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Eleanor is survived by her children Robert L. Bolger, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie of Taunton, Janice Sylvia and her husband Raymond of Dighton, and Carol Conrad and her husband Robert of Assonet. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, a brother John Stracuzzi or Malden, a sister Mary Weddleton of Canton, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard L. Bolger.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9 am for a funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
