Obituary

Eleanor M. Morse, age 80, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald Morse. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Virginia (Retailis) Hirst.

Eleanor was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School. She was employed as a secretary for Wind Specialty in Brockton for many years before retiring. A gentle person with a great love for her family, she loved being a homemaker and taking care of her children. Eleanor was proud to have spent 25 years with her war veteran husband, Donald, until his passing in 2013. She enjoyed arts and crafts, listening to country music, and baking- especially for the holidays. She also enjoyed spending time at the Brockton Senior Center, and with her companion of 4 years, Dennis Gorin.

Eleanor was the loving mother of John Ducharme of Weymouth, Richard Ducharme, Darlene Ducharme, and Brian Bedard, all of Brockton. She was the adoring grandmother of 8, and great-grandmother of 6. She was the sister of the late William Hirst.
