Obituary

Eleanor D. Moynihan, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully, April 17, 2017 at Braemoor Health Center. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Margaret V. (Fitzgerald) Moynihan. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, and was employed by Knapp Shoe for over 44 years. In her retirement, she worked at H&R Block. Eleanor enjoyed summers in Chatham, entertaining, dining out with friends, bowling and golf. She also loved watching all sports. Eleanor had been a longtime member of the 20th Century Catholic Club.

Eleanor is survived by her nephews, close neighbors and friends. She was the sister of the late Francis W. Moynihan, Mary K. Moynihan and Marjorie Guerra and sister in law of the late Bruno Guerra.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 9-10am, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Eleanor's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
