Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 10-10:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater.

Obituary Information

Eleanor I. Smith 89 years of Brockton died Monday morning at Cohasset Knoll in Cohasset. She was the wife for 57 years of the late Milton E. “Babe” Smith. She was born and raised in Brockton and was a graduate of St. Patrick High School Class of 1936 and Brockton Business College. She retired from the Brockton VA Medical Center as a Medical Transcriber after 28 years and previously worked at Eastern Mass Railway Company. Mrs. Smith was a past member of the Brockton 20th Century Club, Junior Women’s Club of Brockton and was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband.
