Obituary

Elizabeth A. (Burke) Smith 54 years died on December 30, 2007 at her home in Fayetteville, NC after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late William F. and Margaret (Jones) Burke and was a 1971 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School. Liz Ann had attended nursing school and then joined the US Army serving for two years. At the time of her death she was employed at the law firm of Reid, Lewis, Deese, Nance and Person, LLP of Fayetteville, NC. For the past 30 years Liz Ann had resided in Fayetteville with her husband and family. She enjoyed many visits home to Brockton as well as trips to Ireland.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert L. Smith and her three children Patrick and William Smith and Eileen Smith Bell all of North Carolina. She was also the sister of William F. Burke, Robert E. Burke, Mary T. Morris, Kathleen A. Deoudes, Eileen M. McDonough and the late Margaret Mary Burke. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins in addition to many close friends and co-workers in Fayetteville.

Services have been held in North Carolina. Donations in Liz Ann’s memory may be made to the Cardinal Spellman High School Scholarship Fund 738 Court St. Brockton, MA 02302.
