Elizabeth S. "Betty" (Gilmartin) Anthony Elizabeth "Betty" S. (Gilmartin) Anthony, 82, of Brockton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton after a lengthy illness. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Betty was the daughter of the late John Gilmartin and Sarah (Canavan) Gilmartin. Betty grey up in Somerville and was a resident of Brockton for 40 years. She worked for many years for John Hancock in Boston and Brockton Hospital in Brockton. A lifelong Red Sox fan, Betty took great joy in watching the Red Sox win the 2004 World Series. Betty is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth S. Liacos and her husband Gregory of Boston and Linda L. Botelho and her husband Lawrence of Rockland. She was the beloved grandmother of Nicholas, John, and Sarah Botelho of Rockland. Funeral Information Following cremation, a celebration of Betty's life will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Wednesday at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are welcome to gather from 9:00AM - 10:00AM prior the memorial service.
