Elizabeth (Morris) Cornelio of Middleboro died February 20, 2024 at Oakhill Nursing Home. Born in Cambridge on January 19, 1931 to Jesse and Sarah (Oliver) Morris. Over the years Betty worked at Lucy Shoe, Raytheon and Boston School Committee. Betty married Vincent Cornelio in 1987 and began the happiest years of her life. Betty, also called Honey, enjoyed reading, watching blue Bloods, traveling especially to Italy, and spending time with her family and friends. Honey had 4 children, Dr. Sarah Derosier and her husband David of Middleboro, Leonard Vera and wife Georgianna of Yarmouth, Ma and was predeceased by her children Sandra Peterson and Steven Vera. Betty also had a very special friend Melody Ring who was like a daughter. Honey had 4 grandchildren Keith and Mark Vera, Sarah and Jesse Peterson and several great-grandchildren. Sarah Derosier and Vinny would like to send a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Oakhill Nursing Home for taking such great care of "Ma" and for the enormous love they extended to all of us.

Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Friday, March 1st from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Her mass of Christian burial will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Center Street Middleboro at 10 a.m. Interment immediately following at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
