Obituary

WEST BRIDGEWATER – Elizabeth Ann Fontaine, 73, of West Bridgewater, died on Sunday, April 12, 2009, at the Deaconess Hospital, Boston.
Born on October 14, 1935, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Grace Roach. Raised in Stoughton, she graduated from St Patrick’s High School, Brockton and then from Bridgewater State College, with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Elizabeth, was a substitute teacher while her children were young and later, as the children grew up she developed a 22 year career with Shaw’s Supermarket as a manager of MIS at their corporate headquarters, East Bridgewater.
She loved the simple pleasures in life; a quiet drive with her husband, a passing thunder and lightning storm or a day at Duxbury beach sitting in her chair watching her husband, children and grandchildren clam.
Elizabeth was the soul mate of her husband Jerome Fontaine, a nurturing, giving and forgiving mother to Jeannette, Tim, Patrice and Jeff, a kind, gentle and loving grandmother to Jillian, Steve, Amanda, Danielle, Morgan and Brandon and Great grandmother to Terasa and Reggie, and a proud and caring sister to Stephen.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday April 17th at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 103 North Main St., W. Bridgewater at 10am. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, immediately following. Visiting hours will be Thursday April 16th at 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Conley Funeral Home.
