Lander of Lexington, South Carolina, formerly of Brockton, October 26, 2002, Ellen M. (Hannan) Lander 87 years.Wife of the late John E. Lander. Mother of John E. Lander and his wife Susan of Lexington, SC. Grandmother ofDylan Lander. Sister of Thomas “Fran” Hannan of Portland, Maine.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 10 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM.

Obituary

Mrs. Lander died Saturday morning at the Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, So. Carolina after a brief illness. She was born in Brockton daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (Barry) Hannan and remained a lifelong resident until moving to South Carolina a year ago to make her home with her son and his family.

Mrs. Lander was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1935. She had worked for many years in Brockton as a clerk at Battles Street Pharmacy and in the coffee shops at the Brockton District Courthouse and Quinn FreightLines.

She was an avid bowler playing in leagues at Westgate Lanes.She also enjoyed cooking and knitting.In addition to her son, daughter-in-law and grandson she is survived by one brother.She was the sister of the late Marie Johnson and Thomas Mahoney
