Elma Marie Johnson Elma Marie Johnson , 74, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the loving wife of Roy R. Johnson. Born May 8, 1938 in Amelia, Virginia she was the daughter of the late William, Sr. and Mattie D. (Banks) Friend. Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Brockton for the past 52 years. She was employed as a clerk for the Brockton public library. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Brenda (Johnson) Cuthbert and her husband Samuel, Jr., of Brockton and Janice Johnson-Plumer and her husband Lawrence, Jr. also of Brockton; her grandchildren, Traci Cuthbert and Quincy Plumer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late, Helen Thompson and William Friend, Jr. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11:00am at the Messiah Baptist Church, 80 Legion Parkway, Brockton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours will be at the church on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6-8pm.
