Obituary

Elmer W. Shaw, Jr., beloved husband of Donna (Hagerty) Shaw, died at The Signature Healthcare Center of Brockton on May 27, 2025 at the age of 91. Elmer was the son of the late Elmer and Evelyn (Cleval) Shaw, Sr. Born and raised in Brockton, Elmer was employed for over 40 years with Mullare News Agency as as delivery driver, covering the south shore area. He loved bowling, and Elmer and Donna spent many years in the Westgate Couples League. He also loved softball, doing yard work, was a season ticket holder of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, but most of all he loved cruises with Donna to the Caribbean, and his favorite, Bermuda.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Dan Hagerty of Brockton; his brothers William "Bill" Shaw of Halifax, and Dennis Shaw of Lawton, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. Elmer was pre-deceased by his siblings, Arthur "Artie", Robert "Bobby", Albert, Evelyn, and Roberta.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 4-7 pm at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10am at Conley Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
