Elssie Yolanda Dejesus age 75 passed away peacefully on March 8,2023. She was the wife of 51 years to the late Hector Luis Dejesus.

Elssie was born on January 17,1948 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Enrique Rodriguez and Antonia Martinez Otero.

She worked at the V.A Medical Center in the laundry department for about 30 years.

Elssie enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes and most importantly spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crafting, gardening, and watching her novelas.

She is survived by children Enrique Marrero and wife Lourdes, Yolanda "Joanna" Cruz and husband Alfredo , Marilynn and Alexis Dejesus all of Brockton. She leaves behind 16 grandchildren; Enrique "Bebo", Elsivette "Tuty", Naomi, Destinie, Ciara, Aj, Sam Jr, Keedany, Christian, Landito, Tashina, Adamariz, Alex Jr, Dayanara, Imani and Jazmani and many great grandchildren. She was the sister of Aida of Connecticut, Enrique Rodriguez of Peru, Rafael Rodriguez of Florida , Neftali Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez, Magali Rodriguez all of Connecticut, and the late Evelyn Vargas of Florida. She had many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Calling hours on Monday, March 13th from 5:00 to 8:00PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street.(Rt. 123) Brockton, Ma. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 14th at 9:30AM in The Russell & Pica Funeral Home. Interment immediately following in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
