IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Emma Erminia
Pagani
May 28, 1926 – February 23, 2025
Emma Erminia Pagani passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Falmouth, MA, at the age of 98. Emma's parents, Antonio Benvenuto and Rose Adela (Cassiani) Pagani, immigrated from Filitiera, Italy, in 1910 and made their homestead in West Bridgewater, MA. As a first-generation American, Emma lived to be an integral part of three more generations.
Emma is survived by her sister Jeannette Hudson of Clearwater, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. The Andrew Pagani, Nando Pagani, Arthur Pagani, Jeanette Hudson, and Charles Pagani families represent 18 nieces and nephews, 29 great-nieces and nephews, and 32 great-great-nieces and nephews. Emma's family grew as she cherished the Joseph Cruise and Robert Dwyer families, they were all nieces and nephews to her over the decades. She loved us all, and we loved her.
Emma was known for her skills and work ethic, working until she was 88 years old. Her accomplishments were many, starting with her own hair salon in Brockton, MA, and continuing at the Foxborough Company, where she retired for the first time. Soon thereafter, Emma joined Family Dollar and was recognized for her merchandising skills, often being driven to store locations in Boston for her expertise.
Emma was gifted with her hands and was a passionate and prolific knitter. Many of her creations are still worn by her great-great-nieces and nephews. After her second retirement, Emma knitted caps to be gifted to premature newborns in various NICUs. Emma was also a foodie who loved quahogging on the Cape, cooking, and teaching us all how to make delicious tortellini soup. She had a competitive spirit, enjoying bingo and poker where she often cleaned the table. Emma was a force to be reckoned with, a strong and independent woman, and an example to us all.
Following visiting hours and a memorial service to be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379, Emma will be laid to rest with her best friend, Tutti, her Yorkie, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater, MA.
