Obituary

Eric D. Wickberg, age 51, of Brockton, died peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021 at his home following a lengthy illness. Eric was the loving husband of Kimberly Currivan. Born and raised in Quincy, he was the son of Dale Wickberg of Australia and Ann (Girard) Wickberg of Salem, MA. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and studied at the University of Massachusetts, Boston Campus.

For many years he was employed as a contract IT developer providing design, implementation and support for small- and medium-sized companies. Always happy and social, Eric enjoyed spending time at the Free Mason Blue Hill Lodge and volunteering for the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a licensed pilot.

In addition to his wife and parents, Eric is survived by his brother, Edward “Ned” Wickberg of Beverly, step brother Nicholas Johns-Wickberg of Australia and his furry friends Serenity and Molly.

A Memorial Gathering with a Masonic Service will be held Saturday, December 4, at 11am at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. Donations in Eric’s name may be made to the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd. Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209.
