Online Obituaries Ernest L. Giovannini, 91, of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Hope Hospice Center in Cape Coral, Florida. He was the husband of the late Marian (Voci) Giovannini. Born June 27, 1920 in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Primo Giovannini and Anna (Borgatti) Giovannini. Raised in Bridgewater he graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1938. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the 4th Armored Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Giovannini worked most of his life as a Shoe Cutter and also worked as a Runner for Miskinis Buick in Bridgewater until he was 87. His hobbies included his daily mile walk, reading, making us laugh with his jokes and going to the beach. Sanibel Island and Captiva were his favorite spots. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Verrochi and her husband, Thomas of Cape Coral, Florida; his grandchildren, Mark Verrochi and fiancee, Meagan Pearson of California, Anthony Verrochi and girlfriend, Catherine Lydecker of Waltham and Michelle Verrochi of South Dakota. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, May 7th at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM.
