Lawson of Brockton, May 23, 2004, Ernestine C. “Tootsie” (Strollo) Lawson, 75 years. Wife of the late Harrison E. Lawson. Mother of John J. Lawson and Gene W. Lawson.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street(Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary

Mrs. Lawson died Sunday evening at Boston Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born and raised in Brockton; had been a life long resident and was a graduate of Brockton High School. She was the daughter of the late Claude A. and Mary (Mackiewicz) Strollo. She had been employed for 20 years by the City of Brockton in the cafeteria of various schools, retiring in December 1996 from the Gilmore School. She enjoyed grocery shopping and cooking and was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

She is survived by 2 sons, John J. Lawson of Brockton and Gene W. Lawson of Roswell, New Mexico, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

She was the wife of the late Harrison E. Lawson and sister of the late Geraldine Turner and William Strollo
