Obituary

Estelle J. Dees of Middleboro, formerly a long time resident of Brockton, passed away on May 15, 2021 at the age of 91. Estelle was born in Eastondale, MA the daughter of the late Bertha MaDan (Morse). Estelle was raised and educated in Easton, where she attended Oliver Ames High School. Following high school, Estelle began her long time career at Foot Joy. Estelle met her love, John in 1953 of whom she spent over 60 years with, before his passing in 2013. One of Estelle's favorite pastimes with John was camping. They made many memories in their bus listening to her favorite music by Faron Young. After John's passing, Estelle moved in with her son where she spent what she called "the best six years of her life." Stevie, as she called him, was more than a son. He was her best friend. Estelle always had a love for sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Even later in life she spent a lot of time in her sewing room. Making custom dresses and such for her great grandchildren with custom tags that read "Hand Made By: Estelle Dees." Estelle was an avid puzzle solver. She loved various kinds of puzzles - jigsaw, crossword, word search, etc. At 91 years old, she was sharp as a tack - navigating her iPad like a pro! She loved playing board games and sharing that joy with her Great Grandkids. Especially, her favorite game - Trouble. Estelle was the wife of the late John Dees. She is survived by her son Steven Dees of Middleboro, her granddaughter Andrea Dees & her fiancé Ernie Avanzato of Porter ME, her grandson Kristopher Dees & his fiancé Noelle Stork of Marion, and her great grandchildren Alek, Alaina, Addison, Stella, Nora, and Layla. Estelle also leaves her stepson Jay Dees & his wife Linda, granddaughters Lynnanne and Kristen, her niece Joanne, cousins Billy, Maryanne, and Dick, her beloved dog Roxie, and many other extended family and friends who loved her dearly. In addition to her husband and mother, Estelle was predeceased by her four siblings Louise, Emily, Florence, and Ernest. Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (RT28) West Bridgewater on Thursday, May 20th from 4-6:30 PM with a service at 6:30 PM. All visitors will then follow SAFE DISTANCING MARKINGS that will guide to the Casket/Urn. All visitors may pause at Casket/Urn and then EXIT the Funeral Home. All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter. All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
