Etelvina Mendes, 93, of Brockton passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Valdimir Andrade. Born on September 8, 1928 in Relva Mosteiros, Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Aniba Fernandes and Maria Mendes. Etelvina enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her children Eugenia Landim and Agostinho Andrade; her grandchildren Valdir Andrade, Christiana Cruz, Roberto Andrade, Eugenio Andrade, Eugenia Andrade, Tracey Andrade, Shawn Andrade, Alex Depina, Jose Dos Santos and Ancelmia Landim; 11 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Ana Mendes, Alberto Mendes and Felismina Mendes. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Wednesday, January 12th from 4:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calavary Cemetery, Brockton.
