Euclides A. Fontes Euclides A. Fontes , 59, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was the husband of Agueda (Veiga) Fontes. Born in Calheta, Santiago, Cape Verde, he was the son of Jesuina (Aguiar) Fontes and the late Manuel Joaquim Fontes. Raised in Cape Verde he then moved to the United States in 1980. Mr. Fontes was a History Teacher at Brockton High School for 15 years. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and his family meant the world to him. He was an avid reader, gardener and was a social and political activist. He is survived by his loving wife, Agueda (Veiga) Fontes; his loving daughter, Katia I. Fontes; his loving adopted daughter, Alice Barbosa; his granddaughter Savannah Correia; his siblings, Jose Fontes, Eduardo Fontes, Irene Pereira and Astrid Alves; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Funeral procession will leave the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, March 12th at 10:00AM followed by interment in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
