Eugenia Ferreira, 81, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, She was the daughter of the late Francisco Mendes Lopes and Rufina Mendes Lopes. Euginia is survived by her children, Carlos L. Ferreira and his wife Domingos of Brockton, Carlos Lopes and his wife Rebecca of Texas and Joao Ferreira of Brockton; grandchildren, Eloi Ferreira, Anthony Lopes, Andrew Lopes, Teresa Pina, Lucas Depina, Peter Ramos, Helena Cerisier and Julia Ferreira; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Andrea, Johnathan, Brianna, Ticana and Elizabeth; sisters, Juvina Barros and Natinha Correia; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Carlota, Bia, Dje Dje, Djoca, Nene, Nana and Isabel Mendes Veiera. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Central United Methodist Church, 65 W. Elm St., Brockton, followed by interment in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
