Born May 3, 1986 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of Eugenio Goncalves Monteiro and Lidia Gomes. She enjoyed the Cape Verdean culture, music and dancing. Eugenia also loved her church, the New Apostolic Church in Brockton. She is survived by her children, Livia M. Lopes and Ruben M. Lopes, her parents, Eugenio Goncalves Monteiro and Lidia Gomes; her siblings, Maria Z. Gomes and her husband Arthur, Maria O. Depina and her husband Jorge, Maria I. Gomes and her husband Francisco, Maria T. Rodrigues and her husband Carlos, Eduardo Gomes, Maria Nenezinha Mendes and Eugenio Monteiro. She is also survived by her several nieces, nephews and loved family members. Funeral Information A Funeral Service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, January 21st at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00PM 8:00PM.
