Obituary

Fotis C. Colocousis, 78, of Bridgewater, MA passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2025 at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness.

Fo was born February 28, 1947 and graduated from Brockton High School in 1964. He attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy but found his true calling as a police officer. He served his community for 34 years before retiring from the Brockton Police Department as lieutenant in 2003. Fotis earned a Master's Degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria College, and served on the BPD Honor Guard.

A devoted father, Fo spent many summers vacationing on Martha's Vineyard with his children and family. He had a passion for golf, and was known to drag his children to collect golf balls in the rain. Fo also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage (once earning a perfect hand!), cracking old jokes, analyzing anything and everything, eating cape cod pizza, volunteering at the local transfer station and puttering around his meticulously organized garage. If you needed anything, Fo always had an extra. He was a handy man, and enjoyed house projects. He loved chatting with anyone and telling a good story.

Fo leaves behind his devoted wife of 28 years, Donna Colocousis. He also leaves behind his former wife Geri, and brother Nick. His son Chris and partner Kate reside in Harrisonburg, VA. Daughter Caryn and son-in-law Darin live in West Newbury, MA. Papou leaves behind grandchildren Sophia, Cosmo, and Kai, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his mother Eleni and brothers Jack and Ted. His love and humor will be missed by all those he touched including many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the Stone Meadow Community Center, 105 Bridgestone Way, Bridgewater, MA on Friday March 21 from 11-1pm. The celebration will start with a brief prayer service at 11:00AM followed by a gathering. All are welcome to attend and share their memories of Fo.
