Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Colman Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.
Obituary
Mrs. Cox died Wednesday morning at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Foster) Corley. She was raised in Maine where she spent most of her childhood; moved to Boston and was a graduate of Maynard High school of Class of 1938, she had been a resident of Brockton for the past 50 years. She had been employed at WT Grants and Kings Dept. Stores as a salesclerk and retired from the Hesse Easton Munitions Mfg. Company. She loved animals, especially her dog Dudley. She was a Member of the Women’s Auxiliary, VFW Post 1046 Brockton.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Doyle and her husband James of Peabody; Nancy Cronin of Plymouth and one son Joseph L. Cox, IV and his wife Anne of Wareham, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one niece
