Easton; Phyllis Riordan and her husband George of Brockton and Denise Boutin and her husband John of Raynham. Grandmother of Maura Fine; Kara Dupill; Brian Connolly; Jennifer, Kevin and Katie Riordan.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Coweeset Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm.
Obituary
Mrs. Gardner died Wednesday evening at the New England Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late Salvatore Capparotta and Elvira (Canero) (Capparotta)Saccocia. She was raised and educated in Bridgewater. She moved to Brockton shortly after her marriage in 1939. She was retired from the Yellow Cafeteria at Brockton High School. Member of the Five and Nine Club. She loved sewing, cooking and she was an avid Boston Celtics fan. Her life was being around her husband and family
Survived by her husband of 65 years of Philip E. Gardner, three daughters, Judith Connolly and her husband Richard of So. Easton; Phyllis Riordan and her husband George of Brockton and Denise Boutin and her husband John of Raynham, six grandchildren Maura Fine; Kara Dupill; Brian Connolly; Jennifer, Kevin and Katie Riordan. A great granddaughter Eva, three sisters, Catherine Brown of Marion; Evelyn Dee of New Bedford and Nora Bossineau of Malden, a brother James Saccocia of Cumberland,. RI and many nieces and nephews.
Sister of the late Albert, John, Torry and Sammy Saccocia, Rose Savage, Jeannette Saccocia and Alice DiNanno.
