Obituary

Francis L. “Franny” Farrar, 74 years, died unexpectedly Friday, December 7, 2007 at Milton Hospital. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, son of the late Lester L. and Dorothy M. (Winterbotham) Farrar. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and had been employed for over 25 years by Bridgewater State College. Franny was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his sons and friends, time spent at his summer home in Onset and loved time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorraine A. (Donovan) Farrar, his children Frankie J. Farrar of Onset, Robin L. Mitchell of Epson, NH and Brian P. Farrar and his wife Michelle of Brockton, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and one sister Beverly Benn of Abington. He was the brother of the late Warren and Lester L. Farrar Jr.

Funeral from Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday at 10am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8pm.
