Franckel J. Hilaire, 71, of North Attleboro passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Paule Hilaire.

Born in Petit Grove, Haiti, he was the son of the late Emille Placide and Lucilia Hilaire.

Franckel enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar, and visiting loved ones in Haiti.

In addition to his wife, Paule, Franckel is survived by his son Jeffery Ilerne; his daughter Tracy Hilaire-Joseph; his sisters Michelene "Michou" Hilaire and Yvette "Kokot" Hilaire; his brother Gilbert Placide; his grandchildren Barbara Placide, Mitcharley Joseph, Marleey Claire Joseph, Micah Trey Joseph and McCarthy Noah Joseph; his nephews Wilfred Placide, Roody Hilaire, Colbert Pierre, Jr., Gilbernard Placide and Michel Wills Sincere; his nieces Darlene Pierre, Shamelande Pierre, Winny Pierre, Samalie Hilaire, Shely Placide, Shela Placide, Stephanie Placide, Julcade Placide, Assunta Placide and Gilberine Placide; and many grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Alfred Placide and Ronald Hilaire.

Visiting hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton on Saturday, March 11th from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
