Freda (Cosmatopoulos) Stathis, 93, of Brockton passed away at her home on January 16, 2023 after a period of failing health.

She was the wife of the late Alexander Stathis.

Born December 15, 1929 in Brockton, she was the daughter of Vasilios and Martha Cosmatopoulos.

A lifelong Brocktonian, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1948.

Freda worked alongside her husband Alex at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in West Bridgewater.

She lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. She touched many lives with her genuine love for others and her great sense of humor.

She was the beloved mother of George of Brockton, Steven and his wife Kathleen of East Bridgewater, Martha and her husband Gary of New Meadows, ID and Andrew of Los Angeles, CA.

Freda adored and was a devoted Yaya to her grandchildren Stephanie, Sarah & Matthew and great granddaughter Elaina.

Funeral Services will be held in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Monday January 23rd at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home 165 Belmont Street, (Rt 123) Brockton on Sunday January 22nd from 1:00-4:00pm
