Frederick A. Damon, Jr.

Frederick Arthur Damon, Jr., aged 82, died peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Reardon, Marissa Markonish, Jill Damon-Minow, and Kerrin Lyons; and his eight grandchildren (Katelyn, Taryn, Alex, Meghan, Luke, Samuel, Paige, and Jack).

Fred was born on December 13, 1943, in Brockton, MA to the late Frederick Arthur Damon and Evelyn Damon. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy Damon and his sister Jean Sweeney.

Fred was a man who loved life. He adored travelling and was always up for an adventure. He had a great appreciation for a fine meal and a well-made cocktail. He loved to talk to people and make friends, and he usually ended up the unofficial “mayor” wherever he went. The last night of his life was spent celebrating his granddaughter’s wedding by outlasting all the other guests on the dance floor. Most of all, Fred loved his family. He was an adoring father and an incredibly proud Papa. His loss is unimaginable.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 23 from 5-7pm at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Route 123), Brockton. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, June 24 at 10am at St. Michael’s Church, 87 North Main Street, Avon.
