Obituary

Frederick A. Johnson 93 years old, of Brockton died Sunday October 11, 2009 at Ellis Nursing and Rehab Center in Norwood after a brief illness. He was the husband for 62 years of the late Rosemary A. (Pegnam) Johnson. Fred was born and raised in North Easton, son of the late John E. and Anna (Peterson) Johnson and resided in Brockton for most of his life. A graduate of Wentworth Institute, Fred was a pattern-maker for many years and retired as manager from C.H. French Company in Boston. Fred was an avid golfer and lifetime member of The Brockton Country Club. He enjoyed woodworking and winters in Florida with his wife. Fred was a member of the MAB Vision Group in Brockton and a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

He was the father of Nancy L. Carroll and her husband Paul of Sun City Center, FL; Janet E. Woodman and her husband Roy of Millis; and Thomas F. Johnson of Boston. He also leaves six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Johnson, Daisy Morrison and Doris Leslie.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30 am. Burial in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
